Good Food Street Fair in Santa Monica – This Weekend!

Hello dears!

Looking forward to the weekend?  Me too!

This week we’re back in the Westside!  We’re honored to be participating in the Good Food Street Fair in Santa Monica at the Santa Monica High School.  Every event we’ve participated in since December has been amazing and this weekend we will add another to that Awesome Event list.  Check out what they have in store:

AMAZING, right??  We have a HUGE menu of items planned for this weekend.  If you missed out on our Green Tea/White Chocolate or Ube/Macapuno Crème Caramel last weekend at FPAC, we’re bringing them both back!  But stop by our booth early.  We will have small batches set aside for each day. :)

What else do we have in store?  Check it out:

WEE!  Can’t wait!  Hope to see you this weekend.  Our booth will be up for both Saturday and Sunday.

P.S.  Thank you again for all your support.  So many of you have taken the time to email/review/tweet and we really appreciate it.  Thank you again.  We owe you a hug.

Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture – This Weekend! AND WE’RE GETTING OUR FLAN ON!

Leche Flan, that is.  Our mother crème caramel recipe is based on our family’s leche flan recipe adapted by my aunt and uncle.  And we’re showcasing it this weekend at FilAm Arts, Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture in San Pedro!

Check out the line up of artists scheduled to appear here.

We’re so excited to be part of this festival that will explore and highlight the arts and culture of the Philippines through art exhibits, performances, film screenings, and of course, FOOD!

Our eats will be part of the “Sweet Naman” booth along with  Tasty Clouds and Delicieuse.  If you have a sweet tooth, this spot will be the place to check out!

While we will be sans bread pudding this weekend, have no fear… we’ll have 5 flavors of crème caramel on the menu!

Tickets for both days will be available for purchase at the event or online here.  We hope to see you there!

Our Menu for this Sunday at Street Eats (Hosted by Susan Feniger and Los Angeles Times | Food & Wine)

Hi all,

Quick little “Hi, how ya doin’?” and hope your week was great.

We’re at the Street Eats event this Sunday and we’re bringing our crème caramel and bread pudding!  Here’s our menu:

If you didn’t know, we use Cast Iron Gourmet‘s CAJUN BACON in our Caramelized Bacon Bread Pudding.  Not only is her bacon fantastic, but the Chef/Owner, Rashida is a gem.  If you’re planning to go to Street Eats, stop by their booth for some Couch Mix and other Bacon goodness.  (Note:  She does FRIED TURKEYS for the holidays, so hit that girl up and get in line!)

We’re also bringing along other friends Plush Puffs (topping our “Shopping Topping” dubbed during our time at Unique LA events.) and All Spice Cafe (SPECIAL limited quantity of Jolokiberry Jam Crème Anglaise!) on Sunday.  It’s going to be a little LA FOOD party in our 10×10 booth.

(Shopping Topping pic from Vanessa Y.)

We hope to see you on Sunday!!  Have a great Labor Day weekend!

P.S. Another string on your finger – Our booth will be absent at Melrose Place Farmers Market for the next three weeks.  We’ll be back on 9/25/11, but check our link for events to find out where you can find us next!

Good Food Festival & Conference: Street Fair celebrating Santa Monica Farmers Market’s 30th Anniversary

Good Food Festival

Saturday & Sunday, September 17 & 18, 2011
Santa Monica High School
10am-5pm – both days

Our Eat Real Fest participation (in addition to working with local food producers) gave us the opportunity to showcase our eats at the Good Food Festival & Conference – Street Fair in Santa Monica.  Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Santa Monica Farmers Market, the Good Food event is a 5 day sojourn combining good eats, good people, and good food purveyors that will “focus on regional and national issues integral to building a local and sustainable food system while supporting the needs of California family farmers.”  We’re participating in the Street Festival – imagine a farmers market on steroids.  (Well, a farmers market on organically grown and sustainable steroids, if that were possible)  It’s going to be a blast!  Get your tickets HERE.

And as always, (Unless we’re at an event :)) we’ll be at Melrose Place Farmers Market on Sunday!  Heads up to our West Hollywood friends and family (actually you can read too if you’re not in the area) – we will NOT be at Melrose Place Farmers Market for the next three weeks due to our events listed above.  After this Sunday, we’ll be back on Sunday – September 25th.

Big XOs.  (Sorry Adam B of Yelp-dom.  We missed you again!!)

Pop-Up Brunch at Fix Coffee in Echo Park This Saturday & Unique LA Next

Hi again, our sweet loves…

We’re gearing up for our 1st Pop-Up Brunch taking place on the patio of Fix Coffee this Saturday, July 23rd.  We were lucky to meet the Fix Coffee baristas at the Unique LA show last Spring and they are FANTASTIC!  They brew up Intelligentsia Coffee and have a super cute coffee spot located in a charming Echo Park neighborhood.  Plenty of shady trees and a covered patio made our collabo a no-brainer.  And you could not ask for a more helpful and knowledgeable crew at Fix Coffee.
